PowerMark was established to promote the manufacture of only the highest quality photovoltaic products through the development and administration of a product certification process that is both nationally and internationally accepted. There are certification programs covering PV modules, design review, and packaged systems.
PMC is also the sole USA agent for PV-GAP and the only USA PV testing and certification program meeting the requirements for international reciprocity. PMC/PV-GAP certification program is based on both USA and International standards.
- The board and committees are staffed by industry and associated experts.
- The program is funded by government, industry, and fees for service.
- PMC is a not for profit corporation.
- The Executive Director is the only staff person that receives compensation for direct services.
